Grandpa's cake design!

As Granny has been feeling very weak and feeble she handed over the cake decoration to Grandpa. I think Father Christmas has been working in his compost heap!!

Family celebration of Granny's 70th

we only went away for 6 days!!

A good day out at Blenheim Park

Ellen and Rose enjoyed a very hot day at Blenheim with us and enjoyed the maze:

Then we went on the train and helped spot another girl's lost flip-flop. Ellen did this and earnt herself and Rose a free return ride.

In the butterfly house we liked the one which looked just like a dead leaf

Rose and Granny went to Grays Court

Rose got to the centre of the maze...without cheating!

and then explored the new fort and wonderful old yew tree:

 This was the obvious way to use the small windows in a fort!

Visiting the chickens

To recover from making the bunks we went to feed the chickens

Penny decided to give the "heron" a drink

but it was a surprise to see her fall in!

Our "meadow"

The orchids have done exceptionally well in our meadow this year; counted 32 flower heads to-day. The Yellow rattle is also spreading rapidly.
